Lianne Cavell, M.D. is our newest associate joining the group in 2013. She received her medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical College, and her gastroenterology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Cavell treats all diseases of the digestive tract, and has extensive training in treating patients with hereditary colon cancer syndromes, Barrett’s esophagus, pancreatic cystic neoplasms, eradicating precancerous lesions of the esophagus and colon, and utilizing endoscopic techniques to palliate symptoms of advanced cancer. She performs all routine and diagnostic gastroenterology procedures, as well as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), Barrett’s ablation, wireless capsule endoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tubes (PEG), percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy tubes (PEJ), and the use of stents to alleviate obstructions.
Dr. Cavell is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is on staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Bethesda Memorial Hospital, and Delray Medical Center. She is accepting new patients at our Boca Raton, Delray Beach and East Boynton Beach offices.
